1. NUTS!! Who's nuts for nuts?? Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and pecans are your best bet.
2. BLUEBERRIES. Totally portable and non-messy! Really, any berry is a great idea.
3. CHERRY TOMATOES. Once you pop'em, you can't stop.

This post is for you....

They're words that are uttered often, yet how often do we truly let those words sink in and take action? So many of us engage in self-inflicted negativity in our lives without even realizing it – all resulting in negative self-esteem and destructive patterns.

But we can fix that. It starts with small changes, every day. A commitment to make a positive change in your life. Believe in YOU! You deserve it!

Need help or advice on where to begin?  Message me, #girlieboss - I can help!

Who will you be?

Remember this, YOU are enough.
Sometimes we all get busy; between work, family, friends, commitments, kids, sports, vacations, etc. etc. There is stress out there - to do everything, be everything, and to do so with perfection. Don't let stress and craziness get to you.  You are enough.  Stay true to you, your beliefs, and who you want to be.  And, if you are YOU - then, the rest always falls into place.

1. Be the best that YOU can be. Don't compare yourself to anyone else.

2. Be around like-minded people. Those that support you for being YOU.

3. Focus on what you have - not what you don't. Appreciate the many things you do have! There is value in gratefulness!

4. Have a good attitude. Life is a journey, every moment is a gift. Enjoy it.

5. Smile often. A genuine smile makes you feel better and those around you!

6. Take care of your body. Studies show physical exercise give you a higher sense of self worth and accomplishment!

7. Be honest. Don't cheat. Be faithful. Be kind. Do the right thing!

8. Help others if you are able. Care about people! If you make a positive impact on others life; you will feel that positivity back on you!

9. Let go when you should. Be strong for yourself. Decide what is best for you and do it!

10. Embrace the next step in your life. You can hold on to the past or you can create your happiness for today!

What will you choose? Who will you choose to be? #girlieboss

You are sweet enough, #girlieboss

You are sweet enough!! You don't need extra sugar in your life or in your body! Sugar is highly addicting and gives you no nutritional 'bang for your buck'...try cutting down or eliminating sugar from your diet and you will notice some pretty great benefits! Read below...
1. Your Energy Will Improve

Ironically, many of us have a tendency to reach for sugar-filled items, including so-called energy drinks when we’re tired. Yet without all the sugar, we’re guaranteed to have a higher energy level naturally. In other words, all that sugar is blocking our body’s ability to keep our energy stores at maximal levels. Plus, there will be no up-and-down with your blood sugar, so afternoon crashes will become an experience of the past.

2. Your Weight Will Stabilize

Sugar makes you crave more sugar, and I'm not just talking about sugar in its raw form.

Let’s face it: most sugar comes in high-fat and/or high-carb foods that have been processed or at least contain tons of unwanted ingredients. ***There is, of course, the exception of fruit.

By going on a sugar detox, your body will not be subjected to the need to deal with all those additional calories.

You won’t feel hungry, and you’ll end up losing weight – or at least not seeing the scale fluctuate as dramatically.

3. Your Intestines and Colon Will Perform More Efficiently

If your insides could tell you what they wanted on a daily basis, they would say lots of fiber and a minimum amount of tough-to-digest, impure foods. When you remove sugar, you’re enabling your tummy and bowels to reset their abilities to process what you’ve eaten. You may even find that you go to the bathroom more often … this is a good thing. It means everything is getting back to a normal routine.

4. You’ll Stop Wanting Sugar

It’s a fact: sugar begets sugar. After you rid it from your food regimen, you’ll slowly begin to lose the desire to eat anything with sugar in it. Fruits will taste plenty sweet, and if you do take a bite of a cake or pie, you’ll be shocked at how overpowering and overly sweet it seems.

5. Your Skin Will Look Healthier

Have you noticed that you can’t seem to crack the case on why your acne appears and disappears despite all the creams, potions, and ointments you’re using? It may be that sugar is hurting your skin from the inside out.

Ready to try? Remember, do baby day or even one thing at a time! Who is with me on this? Need help with it?  Message me today!  And don't forget to ask me about my FREE 5 day Metabolism group that starts soon!  (Learn about what it is, how to rev it up, and what foods will keep you from crashing!)

Got ink? #tattoos

Do you have tattoos? I got my first one only about a year ago with Darren! I love my tattoo & the meaning behind it!! I got a grey ribbon on my wrist for brain cancer awareness. Darren also has the grey ribbon for #braincancer with #winning in it.  So, it got me thinking...who else has one and what's the story behind it? Do you love yours? How many do you have?

Here is some total entertainment I found online. It states where you have your tattoo shows a lot about you. Tell me if its true for you! πŸ˜‰
If your tattoo is on your:
1. Forearm - shows your toughness and strength. As well as conveying your emotions in a macho way.
2. Ankle - you are demure but have a wild streak that you like to keep hidden.
3. Neck - you are very bold and like to take risks
4. Lower back - you are very mysterious and like to play coy.
5. Chest - because of its proximity to the heart, you are full of love and devotion
6. Wrist - you are subtle and delicate!
7. Face - you are a total badass, #girlieboss

#MondayMotivation = personal development

Do you read any daily inspirational quotes or books? You should. It’s your inspiration that drives the process and sets the tone of your week, your attitude, your work, and YOU.
The greater takeaway of inspiring yourself? You are providing yourself with a vibrant attitude. One that runs throughout all that you are involved in. You are providing yourself with; building positive thoughts, reinforcing amazing ideas, giving yourself accountability, providing strength and an eagerness towards your life!!!! Encourage and motivate yourself. Be the best version of yourself.
Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.

Who is cheating this weekend?

It's Friday - and it's St. Patty's day...let's be real here.  I live by the 80/20 rule...meaning, I'm on my health track for 80% of the time and I allow myself "cheats" about 20% of the time.  Sometimes it's more like 70/30 and other times, it is more like 90/10.  Point is; I LOVE being healthy and eating healthy.  I feel better.  I actually prefer healthy foods and options.  BUT, sometimes, I may have too much wine, chips and salsa, etc.  Here is the deal for today, for any Friday, any holiday, or any cheat times:

One cheat meal won't make you fat, just like one clean meal won't make you lean. You've got to practice self-discipline to have more "on" days than "off". The key is to find your healthy moderation, enjoy your life and meet your goals. You CAN have both.

1. NO GUILT. Savor it. Enjoy it. if you allow yourself to feel guilty, you're missing the point.

2. PLAN YOUR CHEAT MEAL. They should not bea spur of the moment decision.

3. DON'T FORGET EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT PORTION CONTROL. A cheap meal should not be a license to binge.

4. LIMIT YOUR CHEAT MEALS to two times a week.

5. MOVE ON. Don't allow a cheap meal to be a trigger to more bed eating. Do it, love every second of it, and move on.

What is your life story, #girlieboss?

Life is about growth. That is what being a #girlieboss has taught me. It has helped me grow and to step out of my comfort zone and become the best version of me. The truth is, every time you take a big risk in your life, no matter how it ends up, you're always glad you took it. That's when growth happens. Set daily goals, and do whatever it takes to achieve them. And most importantly live every day like its your best.

Because, guess what?  YOU get to decide how your life is going to turn out.... YES, unexpected things come up... Some not good, but YOU get to DECIDE your ATTITUDE. It may even be the worst news in the world.. like cancer, it's not easy I know. I have seen first hand (my hubby has brain cancer), what having a positive attitude can do. He does not let cancer take over his life! He's in charge. I remember days whenhe would take his chemo, & then take it out on the heavy bag!! Of course, it's not all perfect... We have our days. But most days we live each & everyday to the fullest... Nobody knows what's going to happen tomorrow!! Do MORE, Go BIG, & of course don't sweat the small stuff. Make your life a BEST SELLER!!   Do you struggle with your #girlieboss abilities?  Need to connect with me and figure out how you can?  Message me today - I got you!

What cancer CANNOT do...

What cancer CANNOT do.

~It cannot cripple LOVE
~It cannot shatter HOPE
~It cannot corrode FAITH
~it cannot destroy PEACE
~It cannot kill FRIENDSHIP
~It cannot suppress MEMORIES
~It cannot silence COURAGE
~It cannot invade THE SOUL
~It cannot steal ETERNAL LIFE
~It cannot conquer THE SPIRIT

#WednesdayWisdom shoutout goes to my amazing husband! He's got that "I'm kicking cancers ass and winning attitude/wisdom". I couldn't be more proud of him. You know he was given a year and a half to live, right??? The cancer he still has (they weren't able to get it all), shockingly has not started grow yet... I say yet... Because unfortunately it will start grow.. We just don't know when. The doctors said usually within 2 to 3 years.... Well it's been over 6!! He defeats all odds! He is my hero!

How does he do it?

1. He does NOT let #cancer define him. The term "cancer survivor" does not apply to him. He does not just "survive" he "lives".
2. He wakes up every single morning with the most incredible attitude! It's not that he doesn't think about having cancer everyday, but he chooses to make it a great day!
3. When he is having an off day (forgets why he's in a certain room or what he's supposed to be doing or puts toothpaste in his hair instead of hair gel...happens a lot)...he laughs.
4. He eats healthy (80% of the time) and works out.
5. And most importanty...He laughs out loud EVERYDAY (sometimes all day).

Your life begins today, #girlieboss

The best day of your life is the one in which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey – and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins. Need help finding this in your life? Message me, I can help! - that's what us #girlieboss friends do!
Be crazy.
Be stupid.
Be silly.
Be weird.
Be whatever.
Because life is too short to be anything but HAPPY!
I choose every day to live my life with happiness and kindness and, of course, being a #girlieboss.  My tips for live your life every single day:

1. WAKE UP EARLY: Go to bed at a decent hour, getting 7 or 8 hours sleep and you'll wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a new day. If you wake up earlier you are more likely to have a happier and more successful day.

2. FIND YOUR SMILE: And find it daily. Do something that makes you happy right away. Tell yourself something wonderful is going to happen and believe it.

3. SEE BEYOND IMPERFECTIONS: Happy people understand that life isn't going to be flawless. They don't judge others! They look for the good in people and even in themselves.

4. PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK: Happy people are proud of what they do. They recognize when they accomplish something. They finish what they start and they're always try to become better.

5. GET MOVIN': Go to the gym, go for a walk, or do an at-home workout. After you get your body moving – I promise you won't regret it.

6. BECOME YOUR OWN BESTFRIEND: We can be our own worst enemy or own best friend – it's up to YOU to decide. Don't let your mind bring you down and tell you you're not happy. You deserve to find joy. Love the person in the mirror and think positively about yourself.

7. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH HAPPY PEOPLE: Be around people who uplift you and make you feel better. Did you know if you're constantly with negative people – you are more likely to become negative too? Your environment around you can make you who you are.

8. BE GRATEFUL: Don't take a day for granted. Recognize that every day is a blessing.

9. SLOW DOWN: We tend to take on too much. Give yourself a break. Don't feel like you need to do everything in one day. Do what is best for you.

10. MAKE THE BEST OUT OF EVERYTHING: We really do have choices in every situation – choose the highroad – smile, laugh and make the best of it.

Happy #FRIDAY! Oh wait...never's, ugh, Monday...

Have you ever wondered why you love Fridays so much? Because you wake up telling yourself it's going to be a good day! we are - a Monday after a time change to boot. How are you feeling??? Need help changing your mind?

Look at your environment, emotions and influences. The human body and mind is largely influenced by the messages and feelings put out by the person in control of that mind.

If you tell yourself negative messages, your body and mind responds to that and like it or not, your actions are determined by your thoughts.

Start by applying these tips:

*Make every day a brand new start, you can't change the past but you sure can learn from it.
*Smile! Yes, even when no ones around. You'll feel silly at first but that's ok, Happy people are infectious.
*Be in charge of the person you want to be! #girlieboss rules apply here! πŸ˜‰
*Stop comparing yourself to others, their situation is different to yours.
*Start every week prepared for a successful week so that every choice you make takes you one step closer toward your goals. Who prepped their week out?
*Find the positives of where you are right now in this given time. What has this taught you?
*Be grateful for the lessons you've learned, they've made you the wonderful person you are.
