Personal Development TIP

FRIDAY Personal Development Success Tip:

Reflect on the positive moments of the day.

Whether your day was amazing or a total hot mess, take some time before bed to reflect on anything positive that happened. You can journal, meditate, talk with a friend, or just sit quietly and replay the day’s brighter moments.
Maybe your crushed a presentation at work, maybe you rocked your morning workout, or maybe your kid gave you the best hug after school.
Creating a nightly habit of turning your attention toward the positive moments of the day, however small or insignificant you might think they are, allows you to feel more gratitude and appreciation in your life.

How to get motivated - in 10 easy steps!

Someone asked me the other day ideas to help them get motivated to workout. I thought I would share with you all!!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The truth is that everyday won’t feel like a fitness fairytale, so don’t be so hard on yourself! And it’s okay to take a rest day here and there.. your body needs it, but you don’t want the rest days to turn into a daily habit!! So here’s some motivation for you!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1. Write down your goals and look at it often!⁣⁣
2. Create a buddy system with your friend!! (Even if you don’t actually workout together).⁣⁣
3. Plan your workout schedule in advance.⁣⁣
4. Stay on track by following a specific program! I can help with that if you need a suggestion.⁣⁣
5. Wear a fitness tracker. ⁣⁣
6. Have a killer playlist.⁣⁣
7. Think about your workout helping more of your mental health than just the physical aspect! #therapy ⁣⁣
8. Think fun, variety and keep them short! ⁣⁣
9. Schedule a regular workout time. ⁣⁣
10. And most importantly consider it “you” time.⁣⁣

Peppermint Mocha!

There’s something magical and festive about the combination of chocolate and peppermint.
But you know what’s even more magical? Peppermint Mocha Shakeology.
Mark your calendars and set your alarms because Peppermint Mocha Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology will be available on TeamBeachbody.com starting November 1, 2019!

Peppermint Mocha Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology

Now you can enjoy the delicious flavors of velvety rich, creamy cocoa, robust coffee, and refreshing peppermint in a nutrient-dense shake.
Peppermint Mocha Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology is our second limited-edition seasonal flavor and will be available in the U.S. and Canada in 14 single-serve packets while supplies last.
Unlike those coffeehouse peppermint mocha calorie bombs, Peppermint Mocha Shakeology is delicious and delivers premium protein, fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals — as well as phytonutrients, adaptogens, pre- and probiotics, and digestive enzymes.

Why Drink Shakeology?

Shakeology isn’t just a protein shake; it’s your secret weapon when the holidays roll around and you’re surrounded by tempting foods and drinks that might derail your healthy eating goals.
A daily shake with Peppermint Mocha Shakeology can help you stay on-track over the holidays and celebrate the joy of the season!
We’re continuously searching for ways to make Shakeology better in quality and benefits, which is why we made some key changes to the U.S. formula that will be rolling out over the next several months, including:
  • Boosted the high-quality pea fiber ingredient to 6 grams per serving, which makes a scoop of Shakeology an excellent source of fiber.
  • Added more flaxseed so that a scoop of Shakeology will have 250 milligrams of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an essential omega-3 fatty acid.
  • Increased the amount of probiotics, and more! Learn more about the new Shakeology formula here.
(And did we mention it tastes like peppermint mocha?!)
So get your blenders and shaker cups ready and make sure you get a box (or two!) of Peppermint Mocha Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology when it launches on November 1st.
Want a reminder of this? Fill this out and I'll keep in touch once it is available!

I can hardly even wait for this new program from Beachbody. This is NOT for the faint of heart; as there will be some language being said; by the celebrity trainer & possibly you!!!
Get ready for 6 Weeks of THE WORK, the new program created by new Beachbody Super Trainer Amoila Cesar. 6 Weeks of THE WORK is a combination of intense functional training with strength, hypertrophy, endurance, power, and mobility workouts packed into one challenging program. If you are ready to push your fitness to the next level and are ready for this intense, no-holds-bar workout regime, and drop a cuss word or two — then this is for you! (There is edited version so you do not get the cuss words!)
Combining strength, endurance, hypertrophy, power, and mobility, THE WORK is an advanced-level workout.
This new Beachbody program focuses on three elements that are the pillars of Amoila’s training style: strength, agility, and mobility. Ready for a total-body transformation? THE WORK is challenging and aimed at helping you gain muscle and drop body fat! I like it already.
WHAT IS 6 WEEKS OF THE WORK?
Amoila Cesar has an impressive background training top athletes and celebrities. In 2017, he helped the then-Los Angeles Lakers forward, Julius Randle transform his body in just three weeks.  He has a number of clients that consider him their go-to strength and transformation specialist.
Now, Amoila brings his proven training regimen to you so you can work out in the comfort of your home and get amazing results.
In 6 Weeks of THE WORK, you’ll focus on challenging your body with functional fitness, compound lifts, agility moves, and mobility exercises. Amoila’s special training methods will help you strengthen your body and prepare you for real-life activities. Let’s not forget mental toughness, another important part of the program.
According to Amoila, “You’re going to be the best version of yourself by the time you finish. Even your psyche will be contagious. You’re going to rub off on whoever you’re around.”
It launches, with VIP access, September 30 2019! Fill this form out and you will be the first to know when it is available! I’ll plug you into my informational group, when it’s open, so you get all the details ASAP!

Let's talk Intermittent Fasting!

What is intermittent fasting? Have you heard of it?

I have done A LOT of research on this topic. And the biggest take away that I can tell you is this: it is NOT a diet. It is truly a eating pattern.

This is not to say that you can eat candy and go hog wild on this eating pattern - because some things are just not good for you regardless of any eating pattern or mindset. Breaking it down as simply as possible, Intermittent Fasting is eating in a certain window of time. There are many hours, ways, and schedules that you can incorporate this eating pattern -- but, let's get to the bottom of the situation: WHY do this and WHAT are the benefits?

*SOME* of the benefits:
  • increases life span (!)
  • increases body resistance to stress
  • increases brain function
  • aid in preventing cancer
  • helps clear skin
  • lowers risk of deadly disease
  • helps body maintain lean muscle tissue
Crazy, right?  And, intermittent fasting doesn't mean you are fasting for long hours -- you can reap some of the benefits as early as 12 hours of fasting.  Think about it, that is not eating from 8 pm until 8 a.m.  or something similar.  I do the 16:8 hours but you can start and swap and change your schedule without losing any of the benefits.  Another bonus!

Listen to this podcast for more on Intermittent Fasting, the benefits, how to do it, and where to begin. If you have questions or are interested in learning more, please message me! I'm always here! And I'd love to plug you into my Intermittent Fasting group starting in a few days!!!!!
