10 facts every #girlieboss should know..

1. Everyone has rolls when they bend over.
2. When someone tells you that you’re beautiful, believe them. They aren’t lying.
3. Sometimes we all wake up with breath that could kill a goat.
4. For every woman unhappy with her stretch marks is another woman who wishes she had them.
5. You should definitely have more confidence. And if you saw yourself the way others see you, you would.
6. Don’t look for a man to save you. Be able to save yourself.
7. It’s okay to not love every part of your body….but you should.
8. We all have that one friend who seems to have it all together. That woman with the seemingly perfect life. Well, you might be that woman to someone else.
9. You should be a priority. Not an option, a last resort, or a backup plan.
10. You’re a woman. That alone makes you pretty damn remarkable.

What's your superpower??

#TransformationTuesday goes to my amazing husband! He's not your traditional weight loss transformation... He's got that "I'm kicking cancers ass and winning transformation". I couldn't be more proud of him. You know he was given a year and a half to live, right??? The cancer he still has (they weren't able to get it all), shockingly has not started grow yet... I say yet... Because unfortunately it will start grow.. We just don't know when. The doctors said usually within 2 to 3 years.... Well it's been over 5!! He defeats all odds! He is my hero!

How does he do it?

1. He does NOT let cancer define him. The term "cancer survivor" does not apply to him. He does not just "survive" he "lives".
2. He wakes up every single morning with the most incredible attitude! It's not that he doesn't think about having cancer everyday, but he chooses to make it a great day!
3. When he is having an off day (forgets why he's in a certain room or what he's supposed to be doing or puts toothpaste in his hair instead of hair gel...happens a lot)...he laughs.
4. He eats healthy (80% of the time) and works out.
5. And most importanty...He laughs out loud EVERYDAY (sometimes all day).

Our new (free) private group on Facebook is open - "LIVING" with cancer.  CLICK here to join! If you are facing cancer or have a loved one who is, then this group is for you!  This group is a way to bring happiness, laughter and support throughout their journey. This group will hopefully help you change your mindset and outlook on life!

#FlashbackFriday

Since today is #FlashbackFriday, I decided to share this post. First of all, I can NOT believe that I am sharing this picture. I've shared a before/after picture of myself before but I think that this one speaks even bigger volumes. I wasn't even going to share this picture because I am truly in shock over the person smiling back at me in it...

Many of you know a little about my story, I was overweight! I am open about that and have shared pictures of myself when I was heavier. But what I see & remember about this photo is much more than being overweight; it is my lack of confidence in myself and that I truly let myself go. It is a time when I wasn't even trying to try! I didn't care what I ate. I didn't care what I drank. It's truly shocking to look at this picture because I don't even recognize this person any more. As much as I may not recognize this person in the photo, I am proud of her. Because it is at this point when I decided to become a coach. Although I was probably at my lowest - in physical health and in confidence - I still decided to 'go for it' and started my health/fitness journey as a coach. I knew that my husband, family, and life deserved better. And, I knew that I deserved better. Did I have a perfect body (beach body?)? No. Did I have the confidence to coach? No. But somewhere in that person, I believed in myself just enough to at least try. And I am so thankful that I did! Coaching is not about physical transformations but about the internal. About gaining confidence in yourself, motivating others to do the same, and encouraging everyone no matter where they are in their health journey! It is realizing, no matter how small your inner spark may be, that you are worth it!

Are you struggling with your confidence? Are you ready to make a change - either physically or mentally? Are you ready to help and inspire others all while working on your own journey? Comment below "more info" OR Message me - I would love to connect and share more of my journey and what coaching has done for me. I know it can help you, too!
